Claire Schwartz is the author of Civil Service (Graywolf Press, 2022) and the culture editor of Jewish Currents. Her writing has appeared in Granta, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Nation, Virginia Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. Claire is the recipient of a Whiting Award for Poetry and a Pushcart Prize. She lives in Brooklyn.

About Sarah

Sarah Ghazal Ali is the author of Theophanies, selected as the Editors’ Choice for the 2022 Alice James Award, and forthcoming with Alice James Books in January 2024. A 2022 Djanikian Scholar, her poems appear in POETRY, American Poetry Review, Pleiades, the Rumpus, and elsewhere. She is a Stadler Fellow at Bucknell University and poetry editor for West Branch.
