Spotlight Poet: Mary Simmons
July 13 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm EDT
The Notebooks Collective was honored to be selected to nominate the Solstice MFA’s Spotlight Poet. Established as a re-visioning of Solstice’s longstanding Cave Canem Partner Poet Program, the Spotlight program expands their mission to celebrate voices from underrepresented communities, as well as uplift the work of emerging writers who have at most two full-length books. This summer, during the MFA’s Summer Residency (and 20th anniversary of the program!), Mary Simmons will do a reading that is open to the public as well as a Q&A with The Notebooks Collective.
The reading will be held on Lasell University’s campus. It is free and open to the public. More information to come!
